motto

Studio Vered Bitan has set itself the goal of working with social organizations and associations that deal with human rights

In the 1960s and 1970s, non-governmental organizations began to emerge in the United States that aimed to ensure the protection of human rights, due to the difficulty of leaving the protection of human rights in the hands of the state. The struggles to protect human rights began with the demand of black American citizens to have their rights equal to those of white citizens. The struggle was led by the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., who founded the civil rights movement that fought and still fights for the maintenance of these rights. In light of the movement's success, many other non-governmental organizations were established, which set as their goal the protection of civil rights, whether in their own country or at an international level. Following the establishment of the Association for Civil Rights in 1972, a large number of human rights organizations emerged. In contrast to the Association for Civil Rights, which addresses the full range of human rights, most of the other organizations focused their activities on a single issue (religious pluralism, workers' rights, health rights) or a specific population group (children, women, Israeli Arabs, foreign workers, people with special needs, Palestinians, gender minorities, etc.). As a human rights activist - I am happy to assist these organizations in any way I can - both in activities and in studio work.
